Burns Night Supper 2025

Our annual Burns Night Supper will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, and will feature Burns Night traditions such as the Address to a Haggis, three whisky toasts,  music, poetry, and dance. Chef Roy Zettlemoyer is returning by popular demand to delight us with a Scottish feast served family style.

Our supper will include the following:

Appetizers:

Haggis Bon Bons! Scottish haggis rolled in breadcrumbs and deep fried.

Smoked salmon tartine with creme fraiche and fried capers

Entrees and Sides:

Scottish Haggis made with an authentic recipe, served with whisky cream sauce

Braised sirloin beef tips with onions and mushrooms

Neeps and tatties seasoned with salt, pepper and plenty of butter

Roasted melange of vegetables - carrots, Brussels sprouts, butternut

squash and beets

Irish soda bread

Desserts:

Cranachan made with raspberries, oats and cream

Classic Scottish Tipsy Laird Trifle


All menu items are gluten free, with the exception of the Irish soda bread.

Founded in 1849, The St. Andrew’s Society of Detroit is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is the oldest benevolent organization in the State of Michigan.

Our mission is to provide assistance to fellow Scots and to encourage the love of Scotland through its history, customs, music, literature and national games.
